 About the United Nations Association

The United Nations Association of Northeastern University (UNA) is a student group for all those interested in foreign policy, international affairs, and learning the skills of effective diplomacy and debate. Through participation in interactive simulations of the United Nations and the League of Arab States, UNA members learn firsthand the challenges of international diplomacy while developing strong public speaking and negotiation skills.

Membership in the UNA is open to students of all majors – we have members majoring in everything from Political Science and International Affairs to Engineering and Pharmacy -- and everyone is able to play an active role in the club, regardless of your prior knowledge or experience with Model UN. In addition to the competitive Model UN and Model Arab League simulations we attend in Boston, Washington, D.C., and South Carolina, we also host a number of conferences on campus for middle and high school students, as well as sponsor international-themed events here at Northeastern.

Meetings are held every Tuesday evening starting at 6:30, location TBA. Club meetings are held in conjunction with the Model UN/Model Arab League classes offered by the Department of Political Science. If you have any questions about the club, feel free to send the E-Board an e-mail at unassoc@gmail.com. We hope to see you around!
